Jack Tottle to perform in Tri-Cities

By Leslie Grace | A! Magazine for the Arts | March 27, 2013

Jack Tottle will unveil his latest album, "The Eagle," during performances in the Tri-Cities in April, May and perhaps June, at venues to be announced.

Like his previous album "The Bluegrass Sound," a Bluegrass Unlimited magazine "Highlight Album," "The Eagle" consists of all new songs and tunes written by Tottle, and features some of his trademark McReynolds style mandolin crosspicking. Playing with him on this newest release are ETSU bluegrass alumni Dan Boner, Hunter Berry, Glen Rose and Bill Dunham. Former ETSU Bluegrass, Old Time and Country Music Program director Raymond McLain is also featured.

"Although Hawaii-where I've lived since retiring from ETSU-is a very nice place, I always look forward to returning to East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia with all the wonderful music and all my good friends," says Tottle. "Even now, many of the new songs and tunes I write here in Hawaii are inspired by my years in Tennessee."
