ELIZABETHTON, TN — Fifty-one paintings of the Watauga Valley Art League were judged by Sharon Squibb, artist and teacher, living in Jonesborough Tenn., for the 11th Summer Judged Show, at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park in Elizabethton, Tenn. The paintings will be on display until July 28.

The winners were:

> Second Place — In the Eye of the Beholder, John Charles, Kingsport, Tenn.
> Third Place — Birds of a Feather, Marilyn Jeffers. Johnson City, Tenn.
> Memorial Award — Retired, David Kramer, Elizabethton, Tenn.
> Award of Excellence — Rocky Fork, Jim Stagner. Johnson City, Tenn.
> Award of Excellence — Morning Coffee, Jean Corbett, Unicoi, Tenn.
> Award of Excellence — Promise of Apples, Sheryl Daniels, Johnson City, Tenn.
> Award of Excellence — Quiet Morning, Bill Graham, Johnson City, Tenn.
> Honorable Mention — Nuthatch and Ivy, Patsy Kelly Reading, Erwin, Tenn.
