March 29, 2014, the chorale participates in the "Carmina Burana" performance with the Symphony of the Mountains and others. The 40th anniversary season ends with a program of choral music May 4 at 3 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church in Johnson City, Tenn.

The chorale holds regular auditions for new members each August and January for the fall and spring seasons. A complete description of the audition process can be found on its website, www.thecivicchorale.org. Time commitments include two hours of rehearsal each week, plus performances and time spent at home mastering individual parts.
Rehearsals are held Thursday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 in the choir room of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church in Johnson City, Tenn.
