April 16, 2019

"Cocoa the Basset Hound" by author Victoria Fletcher, is a new release.

Fletcher was a teacher with the Washington County Virginia Schools. She began writing when she was 13 when poetry entered her life. She published her first book "The Bible Tells Me So: Old Testament Stories for Children in 2011." It won the Xulon Press award for Christian Children’s Books. Other books published by Jan-Carol Publishing are "Fletcher’s Fables" and "Fletcher’s Fables Too." Her other books can be seen on her website, victoriafletcher.biz.

"Cocoa the Basset Hound" is a story of a little girl and her beloved basset hound brought to life by charming illustrations. This adventurous story is about a basset hound and growing up in a dog loving family.

When asked what motivated her to write "Cocoa the Basset Hound," Fletcher responded that not only does she “enjoy writing children’s books,” but that she has “had dogs since [she] was 6 years old.” Fletcher goes on to say, “I wanted to share the love of having a dog with others.” Her book also includes pictures of the real Cocoa, Fletcher’s family dog that inspired her story.

The book is published by Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee.
