Local Author Talk: Larry C. Timbs and Michael Manuel

GRAY, TN — Local authors Larry C. Timbs and Michael Manuel will speak at this month's Author Talk at the Gray Library, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m.

Timbs, a resident of Johnson City, is a Vietnam-era veteran, a former professional journalist and retired journalism professor. He published his third book, "Unlikeliest Witness," this summer.

Manuel, also a screenwriter, is retired from TRW in Rogersville. He lives near Hampton. He and Timbs co-authored "Fish Springs: Beneath the Surface" and J"ustice for Toby." (2016).

All three novels are Appalachian novels of suspense, set in East Tennessee.

The two will speak, followed by a Q & A session with the audience. The authors will have books available for purchase. Everyone is welcome to attend. Call the library for more information at 477-1550. The library is located at 5026 Bobby Hicks Hwy., Gray.
